When the brief is “a crime family drama where all the men get murdered and the women take over” you know it’s going to be fun. Commissioned by HOT, this title sequence uses chess pieces to tell a very graphic story in a playful way. The logo and animation were crafted with a focus on clean geometry, quiet tension, and one queen who’s clearly not going anywhere. Check. mate.
